Just a few kilometers from Hotel Antagos, the Torre del Cerrano is a historic jewel of the Adriatic coast, located between Silvi and Pineto, in the province of Teramo.

Built in 1568 to protect the coastline from maritime invasions, it remains one of the rare surviving defensive towers from the Kingdom of Naples.

Today, managed by the Consortium for the Management of the Marine Protected Area and the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Abruzzo and Molise, the tower houses a training center, a library, and an upcoming marine museum—a symbol of its transformation from a fortress of defense to a beacon of culture and marine conservation.
